1. General Donation Principles
Malaika Social Organization (MASO) relies on voluntary charitable contributions from generous individuals, philanthropic foundations, and corporate partners to deliver our grassroots humanitarian programs in Rukwa Region, Tanzania. Every donation directly supports:
- Clean drinking water infrastructure (such as our completed Kantawa water project).
- Protecting adolescent girls from Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across regional schools.
- Tree planting, watershed rehabilitation, and environmental conservation curricula.
- Emergency relief and education sponsorships for vulnerable youth.
2. Nature of Charitable Gifts
As a registered Non-Governmental Organization (Registration No. 16NGO/R/0724), donations made to MASO are considered irrevocable, voluntary charitable gifts that are immediately allocated to active program budgets and community procurement.
3. Refund Eligibility and Criteria
Because donations are applied directly to grassroots relief and infrastructure costs, refunds are generally not granted once funds have been deployed into the field. However, MASO will review and issue full refunds in the following legitimate circumstances:
- Accidental Duplicate Transaction: If technical error or inadvertent double-clicking caused duplicate charges within a 48-hour window.
- Data Entry or Amount Error: If an erroneous donation amount was entered (e.g., \$500 entered instead of intended \$50), and the donor notifies MASO promptly.
- Unauthorized / Fraudulent Transaction: If a payment method was used fraudulently or without cardholder authorization, subject to standard bank verification.
4. Refund Request Procedure
To request a refund review, please submit an email to contact@malaikaorganization.org with the following details:
- Full donor name and contact information.
- Transaction date and exact amount.
- Payment method utilized (e.g., Bank Transfer, M-Pesa reference code, or payment gateway reference).
